Friday 22

Day twenty-two – Friday March 23 – 2018. Starting at 15:30

About two hours

30cm x 30cm

Oils

Nearly one and a half hour snow-shoeing in wet rotten snow with a light shower.

Arriving the tarn. Wet, wet, wet

A shelter for keeping myself and the painting dry.

Using the snow-shoes to avoid losing the pole deep into the snow.

Laying in the main areas first, constantly shifting focusing from negative to positive shapes.

Nearly finished painting.

I realized that I had to lower the trees in the right side (in the mist) in order to get the perspective right. I also painted some areas quite thickly to enhance the relatively flat-looking snow and the tree-branches.
